SEPTEMBER 7, 2023

Today started out pretty slow. Went to a new area and the lack of drift hurt us until noon. Wind picked up and we started catching fish. A lot of 4 and 5lb fish and decent short life as the day progressed. A few guys with limits and others with two. Overall, not great, but not terrible either. Season coming to an so come on down. Reserve your spot at bigmohawk.com, walk ons welcome.

Pool fish went around 5lbs. Caught them on both rigs and jigs today. Back at it tomorrow. Weather is looking great! 6:30 DEPARTURE! OPEN BOAT! Thursday is looking good as well! For any questions or if you would like to reserve a spot for our special Thursday trip, please give Kathy a call at 732-974-9606. See you in the morning!

JUNE 29, 2021

6/29/21. It has been 6 months today since the passing of Capt Chris Hueth, my husband of 32 years, best friend, business partner and love of my life. He had such a positive impact on so many people, and a true legend in the fishing industry. I want to reach out and thank the many people who have stepped up and helped me get here today. Chris and his crew have created a unique environment on the Big Mohawk, and it warms my heart to see his legacy live on! I was down at the Mohawk early this morning and it was wonderful to see so many of our “regulars” along with some new faces that have become a part of “ the Mohawk family” I could not have gotten here today without the help and true friendship of my brother in law, Greg Hueth! Chris would be so proud of all of the help and guidance you have given me! Our Captains and Crew have stepped up to the plate and are continue the legacy that Chris had created! Thank you to our Captains, Greg, Nick, Richie, and Mike. Our crew, Payton, Ronnie, Dustin, Jack, Mike and Andrew!!! It is a pleasure to work with all of you. You are second to none! Thank you everyone for sticking with us and your continued support! We made it through the winter months of Blackfish season this year. Sea Bass season was phenomenal, and have kicked off Fluke season with an excellent start! We will continue full speed ahead and look forward to seeing you all this summer! Enjoy your day and “catch em up” ~Kathy Hueth

Thank you for all of your love and support!

Back out on the fluke grounds today. Had an okay pick for todays light crowd. you had to work for em. Everyone fished hard and it payed off. Had many anglers with limits today a few fish in the 5-6lb range. Short life was a little dull most of the bites we had were quality fish with some nice Seabass in the mix. OCTOBER 28, 2020

Banner day of Striper fishing on the Big Mohawk. We are definitely fishing tomorrow! 6am departure, first come, first serve. Crowd should be light again. You must have a spinning rod, treblehooks, shads and diamond jigs. Don’t miss out on the action. See you in the am!

A year ago today the fishing community lost one of its “greats”. One year ago today I lost my husband, best friend and the love of my life, the father of our amazing children, Christopher, Chandler and Brendan. Greg lost his twin brother and best friend. Chris meant so much to so many of us. He was a family man, a wonderful son in law to my parents, brother in law to both of our families and a brother as well! He was a true friend to so many people, and left a lasting impression! His smile was infectious and he lived life to its fullest! We were all blessed to have Chris in our lives! As you go on with your day today, think happy thoughts! Remember Chris, and know that he is smiling down on all of us from Heaven! Celebrate his life and think, “It’s not the end, but till we meet again”
